Jim Rudy Memorial Fund
The Rev. James “Jim” Rudy Memorial Fund was established to celebrate and further the work and vision of Jim Rudy, founder of Computer Ministry, Inc., Mechanicsburg, PA, by recognizing and encouraging qualified individuals and organizations as they further their education and service with technology. Grants for equipment and scholarship aid are available.
Individuals and organizations demonstrating an interest and ability to learn about and use technology in the service of others may apply for a scholarship or equipment grant between January 1 and February 28 of each year. Announcement of recipients shall be in April.
do not have or cannot afford appropriate technology equipment for their study or community service, or
seek to train or study in the fields of computer science, information technology or other Board-defined fields, at an accredited institution, or
have volunteered with Computer Ministry Inc. for a minimum of 200 hours and receive the endorsement of the executive director.
Any religious, educational or service organization qualified by the IRS as a non profit organization
Types of Grants
· Up to one thousand dollars shall be awarded each year to one or more applicants to purchase new equipment or to replace, enhance or upgrade existing equipment for public service or study.
As many as four, one thousand dollar scholarships shall be awarded each year for post-secondary study at an accredited institution (as many as two grants for American students and two grants for international students).
